This display is advertised as being the size of an IPAD. Friends and family are amazed at the size and clarity of the pictures. I have had this frame for a few weeks and can share a few comments:Pros: - Excellent clarity and resolution (hi-def) - Really big screen - Multiple brightness settings (setting midway is plenty bright for my office) - Good amount of internal memory - Plays music and videos (although I have not tested this) - Programmable On-Off (good for the office, although it does not have day-of-the week On-Off, so it plays over the weekend) - Multiple transitions (if you use the shuffle mode) Cons: - Limited number of user-selectable transitions (the shuffle mode offers more, but you cannot select many of these) - Random shuffling through photos is OK if you don't have a lot. While copying, the device displays the error message "Unknown error occurred in the device during the I/O operation" in Windows 7. I have tried various troubleshooting (reattach the device, copy fewer number of photos at a time etc), but the error message persisted. I would expect that transferring files to the device should work flawlessly just as you'd expect with any USB flash drive.The set-up was simple and the picture was sharp. But for this basic functional issue, I would have kept the device. The set up was very easy. i.e. you literally insert your sd card and the images start playing. or it has a massive 4gb internal memory. you just connect it by the cable they give you to your notebook. and drag and drop the images accross on the frame. very very easy. just what i wanted. |
