I decided to get measured for a pack before I bought one, and am so glad that I did. This pack fit like a glove the first time I put it on and I was able to wear it all day with no problems. It is very comfortable, has lots of padding and I did not experience any back or shoulder pain. I like the venting system against my back as it kept me cool all day long in warm weather. I actually didn't even notice I was sweating until I took the pack off! It doesn't have mesh anywhere on the outside and since I hike in terrain that often has brush and trees, this keeps my pack from getting snagged and ruined as I am wearing it. It has plenty of room for all my gear, and even has room to spare. It does have a lot of straps, but I like this fact because it allows me to adjust around my gear, keeping it secure enough that it doesn't move around inside while I am on the move. I work as a backpacking guide in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and can fit everything I need in here (tent, stove, gas, sleeping pad, extra layers, food, etc) for a week or more (depending on climate and clothes). The weight distribution is excellent, the durability is excellent, and the pack overall is excellent! I would recommend this pack to anyone from beginner to professional.
